Youth & Family Events:
Youth and Family Ministry has always been an important program area at Zion, so much so, that a “core value” was adopted to reflect this emphasis. The traditional family is no longer the norm. All family units are welcome – single parent, blended families, same gender parents, and others. Opportunities geared toward youth are offered throughout the year to include participation in synod-wide events such as the annual Confirmation Camp at Camp Nawakwa; Winterfest Gathering; and church-wide events such as the ELCA National Youth Gathering held every three years.
ZYG Events
On April 15 the youth will be holding a dinner/worship event in Leatherman Hall (social hall). Tickets cost $5. Look for information in the Narthex. The dinner will begin at 5:00 pm with a worship service incorporated in the meal.
